Hunter Parrish (born May 13, 1987) is an American actor. He is known for playing Silas Botwin in Showtime's television series Weeds, as well as for appearing in several Hollywood films.
Parrish was born in Richmond, Virginia and raised in Plano, Texas. In 2007, he graduated from the Texas Tech University Independent School District.
On August 11, 2008, Parrish joined the cast of the Tony-Award-winning Broadway musical Spring Awakening in the lead role of Melchior Gabor at the Eugene O'Neill Theatre in New York City,
receiving critical acclaim. He remained in the role until the show's closing on January 18, 2009.
